Athletic, Recreational & School Fencing FAQs

Do you install baseball and softball backstops?

Yes. We install a full range of backstops for baseball, softball, and t-ball fields, including standard, tall, and pitched-roof configurations. We help you choose based on field level, spectator location, and how far foul balls need to be contained.

Can you work around our school calendar or sports season?

Yes, and we do this regularly. We schedule installations during summer break, off-seasons, or evenings and weekends when necessary. Coordinating around your calendar is part of how we work with schools and districts.

What's the best fence for a playground?

Playground fencing usually needs to balance visibility (so supervisors can see kids), safety (no sharp edges, kid-safe hardware, compliant heights), and durability (resistance to climbing, kicking, and daily wear). Chain link with smooth top rails is the most common solution, but ornamental steel and vinyl are also options depending on the setting.

Do you work with school districts and municipalities?

Yes. School districts, parks departments, and municipalities across Dane County and Southern Wisconsin are among our long-standing clients. We follow procurement requirements, provide the documentation and specs you need, and coordinate with district facilities teams.

How tall does a court fence need to be?

Tennis and pickleball court enclosures are typically 10 ft tall, with 12 ft used for higher-level play or where court positioning makes ball containment harder. Basketball court perimeters can be shorter (6โ€“8 ft). We recommend a height during your consultation based on the sport, court layout, and neighboring properties.

Can you refurbish or repair existing athletic fencing?

Yes. We repair, refurbish, and extend existing athletic fencing regardless of who originally installed it, including tension repairs, gate rebuilds, top rail replacement, and full re-mesh. Often a repair or upgrade is more cost-effective than a full replacement.
